VZ: How has an abhorrence of conventional architecture helped in shaping your own unique practice?
US: Upon graduating from architecture college, we realized that there was a huge difference between how we were taught to conceptualize projects, while in college keeping in mind the context, user, program, etc. as opposed to how they were implemented in the real world with the constraints of FAR, material availability and the budget. However, as a studio, we are still practicing how we were taught in architecture school and that is what sets our work apart.
